ipod touch 3 gen

It seems like leaks from Chinese case manufacturers are getting more common as the accessory business heats up for new iPhone and iPod products. This batch of images from Cult of Mac shows conclusively that the new iPod Touch and new iPod Nano are both getting rear-facing cameras in the next update, most likely due in September.

The iPod Touch has a camera centered at the top of the back face and the Nano’s camera is placed on the bottom corner of the device, so that it ends up in the top left when held with two hands to take a picture horizontally. This seems like a bit of an awkward placement for vertical images, but should do fine with horizontal ones.

Apparently the manufacturers are so sure of the configuration and dimensions, they are sending out physical samples, check out the gallery below for some more cases.
