GeoHot, the iPhone hacker behind the recent Blackra1n Jailbreak method for the iPhone has released a video of the first iPhone running OS 3.1.2 and baseband 05.11.07. In other words, an iPhone that is completely up-to-date with all software from Apple.
GeoHot, also known as George Hotz, had initially stated that the unlock would only take him 24 hours if he were interested in doing it, which he wasn’t. Then he abruptly changed his mind when he was offered a $10,000 bounty to complete the unlock by unscrupulous entrepreneur Jody Sanders, a UK resident who sells Jailbreak and unlocking software made available for free for £20 to unsuspecting Brits.
