Knocking Live App Updates to Support Sound

The Knocking Live app was the first on the App Store to allow an iPhone to iPhone video stream, far before FaceTime arrived. The app was even personally approved by Steve Jobs after initially being rejected. The app has just been updated to support sound and the iPhone 4 features, unfortunately it’s still one-way video, but unlike Facetime, it does work on all iPhone models.

FaceTimeMod Increases the Image Quality of FaceTime Conversations

FaceTimeMod is a free tool that helps you manage the Frames Per Second that a Facetime session is pushing through your data connection. This allows you to greatly increase the quality of your WiFi Facetime sessions or even throttle back the quality for using it over 3G.

How to Use FaceTime Over 3G on iPhone 4 and Unlock it’s True Potential

FaceTime is awesome, it’s easily the coolest thing about the iPhone 4 and it’s really amazing to use for the first time. There’s only one problem with it. You can’t use it anywhere you’d really want to. Who wants to see the back wall of my office or my watch me trundle around my house? [...]

Do I need To Back Up my SHSH Files Before Jailbreaking? iOS 4 Edition

I’ve gotten some questions regarding backing up SHSH files lately, which isn’t surprising considering the iminent release of the Spirit Jailbreak for iOS 4. There has been lots of talk about how you should always back up your SHSH ‘blobs’ (which just means a collection of files used to authenticate the firmware with Apple), but there has been some lack of clarity, even on my part, about which devices this actually applies to.

Fring Adds Support for Video Calling on iPhone 4, With Skype and iPhone 3GS over 3G!!!

The video calling feature of the iPhone 4, AKA FaceTime, was one of the biggest selling points of the new device. Unfortunately, you can only make video calls over WiFi, which is only slightly more useless than a horse using a fork. I don’t think anyone wants to see the inside of my house any [...]

Well now that we know what AT&T’s new data plans are going to be and we’ve all stopped whining about it, it’s pretty clear that we’re all going to need to know how to keep closer tabs on exactly how much data we’re using on our iPhones. Share and Enjoy:
