If you have ever wondered how to use the typical tech gadgets such as the smartwatch or the phone charger, you are not alone. These devices are often useful and can be used in a variety of ways. However, there are also some very unconventional uses for these common gadgets that might surprise you.

Halo

One of the best parts of Halo Infinite is the fact that the game developers have been able to pull the trigger on a few innovative new weapons and abilities. One of them, the Drop Wall, is an all out defense system with an impressive five second cooldown on a single hit. The Drop Wall is a hybrid of Bubble Shield and Deployable Cover.

While the aforementioned bubble shield can be a pain to carry around, the drop wall was certainly a feat of engineering to behold. It was the most notable of all the Halo scalawags I’ve played with. Not only was it a show stopper, it was also the most fun. Aside from the aforementioned fun factor, the Drop Wall boasted an impressive charge rate and longevity. As a result, it is a worthy contender to the ever elusive Xbox One trophy room.

On the flip side, the aforementioned Drop Wall is a bit of a drag on your resources sanity and your overall satisfaction level. This is not to say it’s a bad game to play, however. There isn’t a lot of room for a competent player to hone their frag slinging skills.

Smartwatches

While they’re often considered gimmicks, many gadgets are gaining ground as practical, everyday accessories. This is particularly true of the smartwatch. These devices are capable of tracking activities, such as steps taken, heart rate, and sleep patterns. They can also perform tasks, such as making phone calls, playing music, and paying for purchases.

Unlike conventional watch models, a smartwatch has an electronic visual display and sensors. Some feature a battery that lasts up to two or three days when used on a regular basis. However, additional functions may diminish its battery life.

Sport watches, which are usually paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth, are designed to measure your physical activity. They often have other features such as an altimeter, compass, and an accelerometer.

An ECG sensor, which measures the minute heart signal through electrodes, is also a new addition to wearables. It works with a compass to give the smartwatch direction.

An ambient light sensor, which adjusts the brightness of the display to reflect different conditions, is another feature that helps to save battery power. Other features include a pedometer, a heart rate monitor, and a GPS.

Phone chargers

There are many interesting uses for common tech gadgets like phone chargers. From portable chargers to fast chargers, there are many possibilities for charging devices. However, it can be difficult to determine which type of charger will be right for your needs. Below are a few tips for choosing a phone charger that will work with your device.

When it comes to selecting a charger, the watts (W) is a very important factor to consider. The watts will tell you how much energy the charger can push to your phone. Your phone will only charge as fast as the watts it can handle. In general, tablets and laptops have a higher W value, whereas smartphones have a lower one. Also, battery life depends on the number of watts the phone can take. For example, a large-capacity phone might take an hour or two to fully charge with a 65W charger, whereas an 18W charger can do the same in under an hour.
